Tuba or not Tuba - 1901 Conn Tuba with Rotary Adjuster

I love tubas but kind of shy away from them as they are so large and take a lot of space to store and fairly expensive to ship but I could not pass this one up. We are still identifying the model but this was made when Conn had a store in New York city as they were stamped with the city up until 1905. This one plays great but I am not so sure my neighbors think that....
