Maurice Boiste - Alto Saxophone - French Made - Beautiful Sound and Design 1940-50

This was advertised from a pawn shop deep in the heart of San Diego and I spent two weeks debating if I wanted to make the drive down. The good news is they were asking a lot for it and no one was biting. I had some time today and made an early morning trek. It was well worth what I got them down at and even the original asking price. These were handmade for a short period of time and the sound reminds me of both the Selmer's and Buffet's I have. The pant guard is very cool. It plays through but needs a few pads replaced. My dilemma always is I don't want to part with my sax's but something has to go.
